With the launch of its new Maison de la culture, the Villeray—Saint−Michel—Parc−Extension borough sought to create a space in tribute to actor and singer-songwriter Claude Léveillée in the foyer. Merlicht was selected to develop a multimedia scenographic installation with sounds and images. In the cultural centre’s dynamic and original setting, audiences are invited to strike the keys of a grand piano like the one Léveillée used to create music. The notes set off a succession of multimedia clips on the high points in the Villeray native’s life and career.
