Pôle culturel de Chambly
Pôle culturel de Chambly
To mark its inauguration, the Pôle culturel de Chambly wanted locals and visitors to discover the history of soprano and Chambly native Emma Albani.
Showcased in an intimate setting, the exhibition recounts the life and career of the renowned opera star. Visitors come across a range of artifacts, including some lent by the Musée de la civilisation de Québec, as well as texts, archival documents and period photographs. Reflecting the deep colours and motifs of the Second Empire, the overall design adds an artistic touch to the exhibition and highlights the aesthetic trends of the time. Emma Albani’s voice resonates throughout thanks to an audio installation featuring her greatest arias.
