Réseau-Vert
Réseau-Vert
As part of the legacy of the 375th anniversary of the city of Montréal, the Rosemont–La Petite-Patrie borough sought to revitalize a section of the Réseau-Vert network, which was launched several decades ago. In collaboration with engineers and landscape architects, Merlicht developed an outdoor interpretation circuit along the multifunctional track on themes such as industrialization and rail history, workers’ lives and social issues, local place names and more. The graphic design included the creation of a visual identity, maps of the neighborhood and signage. Inspired by the industrial setting and railroad track, the urban furniture supports the interpretive elements. The materials were carefully selected to resist outdoor conditions and vandalism and meet requirements in terms of durability.
